We had our 25 year old HVAC replaced right at the peak of summer because the old unit was leaking. Ryan spent a lot of time going over the pros of cons of repair vs replace and given the price of R22 replacement and knowing about similar issues my neighbour had had trying to keep similar hardware going in the prior years, it was an easy sell.
Even when I had a last minute panic wondering about getting a heatpump vs AC he took the time out of his morning to write out a very detailed re-explanation as to why it made sense (in my case) to stay with AC. He's very good at customer service!
More relevant to this review, I was very impressed with the quality of the work and equipment. The technicians that came to install everything were very professional and did a very clean install; they also left everything tidier than they found it. The AC worked great for the short remainder of the summer and the furnace tested out great while we were breaking it in - the true test is yet to come!

250-687-0271"We can't say enough about Ryan and his team who replaced our crappy only 13 year old Carrier furnace (faulty heat exchange) AND heat pump with a nice and quiet modulating Airease furnace and AC unit. Ryan is very responsive and returns calls immediately, you are NEVER the dark, wondering. They are extremely knowledgeable and skilled in HVAC and won't sell you something you don't need. What also impressed us is the time and effort Ryan, Shawn, and Matt took to review things and ensure we got the best system for our budget. It was really interesting learning more about HVAC in general and the improved technology. They are passionate and enjoy what they do and play their "A" game every day! Castlegar/area is blessed and should be grateful to have so many great businesses like Valhalla Refrigeration.
